With America also leading the world in the number of guns per person, it's vital that we don't let temporary moments of crisis turn into permanent tragedies. While there are many different types of rifles, the standard definition of a rifle is a gun designed to fire with two hands. Rifles are popular guns for sport and used for many different types of hunting. All kinds of guns you can buy fall under these three categories. Suicides account for 60 percent of all gun deaths. Every 16 hours, a woman in America is shot and killed by a current or former intimate partner. But America’s gun violence epidemic is made up of much more than high-profile media events. Almost every day we hear of another mass shooting* in our country.
